Welsh Darts Premier League Champion Wayne Warren (Tynewydd) gave an absolutely brilliant performance against the World No 1 and World Champion Mark Webster. Although Wayne Warren hit 14 x 180s and 77 ton plus scores it was the Champion of the World Webster with 3 x 180s and 66 ton plus scores who threw 23 darts at the doubles with 18 connecting.

The evening started with Mark being escorted to the stage by the lovely Carla and Kirsten. Carla is in the Miss Wales Competition and with both young ladies being sponsored for the evening by Wedding Secret of Caerphilly, looked absolutely fabulous in the gowns supplied by Emma (Wedding Secrets).

Wayne then followed in quick succession. By this time I was getting very excited and forgot to wait for the Young Ladies to get back, so they had to hitch the dresses up and run back just in time to meet Wayne for his Walk On!

The atmosphere was amazing. With a crowd of die-hard Warren supporters packed into Tynewydd Labour Club, Mark really had stepped into the lions den. But this young man is something special. Warren was dazzling the crowd with big out shots and spectacular 180s, Webster was 140 and 134 and 171s for fun and his finishing - well if any of the home nations had finished like Mark we would have been watching them in the Euro Finals instead of having to be dragged of to the beach. 5 x 11 dart legs 12,13,14,15 we only had 2 18 dart legs out of 31 thrown Mark winning legs ave 14.34 Wayne Warren 14.64. Wayne Warren was truly magnificent and gave a brilliant performance on behalf of the Premier league.

But the people of Wales know this Mark Webster is a true gent, a fantastic credit to his parents and a brilliant World Champion will he win again only time will tell he is a wonderful credit to Wales and I wish him only the very best for the future.
